LOLER Testing – Patient Hoists

Act NOW do not wait for disaster!

The ONS states that 17 preventable deaths occurs in the last 6 years, with over 3500 “uncategorised” falls in care!

LOLER is aimed at ensuring that all lifting operations are properly planned, lifting equipment is used in a safe manner and that, where necessary, it is thoroughly examined at suitable intervals by a competent person, like the engineers and founders of Younique Healthcare & Mobility!

All too often we get a panic call because a hoist is broken down, and the first question is “when was the last LOLER service?”. It is a legal requirement if you are using a hoist to move people and children around, no matter how near or far you move them. Their life and your liability rests with properly inspected hoists.

We offer all hoist services and are competent people under the LOLER regulations.

Beware of skipping hoist servicing – apart from the potential tragedy and distress, there is a real risk that owners of properties operating hoists for care can be handed out huge fines as can be seen in this article.
